    Jess started her career as a dog trainer in 2013 after developing a passion for canine training and animal behavior. Jess works with all dog breeds and ages.

  • Dustin Winn

    Dustin started his career in 1999 and has gained experience in the following positions before joining NCCT: United States Marine Corps Working Dog Handler, Private Security Canine Handler for U.S. Dignitaries, Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) Trainer for Naval Special Warfare, and MPC Instructor for Marine Corps Special Operations Command.

    His passion for dog training and desire to create an unbreakable bond between dog and owner is second to none.

  • Nicholas Ramsden (Nick)

    Nick came to the SkillBridge program after a career in the military, seeking a more hands-on and fulfilling career path. His analytical mindset and patience made him a natural at understanding canine behavior and tailoring training methods to individual dogs. During his time in the program, he developed a reputation for his innovative use of positive reinforcement techniques, particularly with shy or rescue dogs.

    Impressed by his ability to connect with both dogs and their owners, North County Canine Training hired Nick as a trainer focused on behavior modification and family dog obedience.

    He’s now a favorite among clients for his calm demeanor and ability to transform challenging cases into success stories.

  • Daniel Paredes

    Former military, Daniel joined the SkillBridge program with a passion for working dogs and a desire to continue serving others in a new capacity. During his training, he excelled in teaching obedience and advanced commands, particularly with high-energy breeds like Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds.

    His disciplined yet compassionate approach caught the attention of the program directors, and he was hired as a full-time trainer specializing in protection and working dog training.

    Daniel now leads classes for law enforcement K-9 units and enjoys mentoring new SkillBridge participants, sharing his journey from military service to canine professional.

    This individual is driven by a desire to help others and sees canine training as a way to make a meaningful impact. They’re focused on training service dogs to assist individuals with disabilities or PTSD, combining empathy with a structured training approach.

    With a background in fitness, this participant is drawn to the high-energy world of canine sports. They’re eager to learn about agility training, obstacle courses, and competitive events, helping dogs and handlers stay active and engaged.

    This participant has a strong sense of discipline and a passion for working breeds. They’re interested in training dogs for roles in law enforcement, search and rescue, or protection, using their focus and dedication to bring out the best in these skilled animals.

    With a curiosity for animal behavior and a methodical mindset, this participant approaches training with a scientific lens. They’re eager to learn about the latest techniques in positive reinforcement and behavior modification, aiming to create effective, evidence-based training programs.
